Mrs. Guerrieri's Reading Class

FOR THIRD PERIOD READING WITH MRS. GUERRIERI: Jack London's "The King of Mazy May" is followed by three comprehension questions. Use these to be sure you understand what happens in the story. You are responsible for the vocabulary and for the words antagonist and protagonist. Review facts about Jack London in his biography. Bring to class a photograph of London and some interesting information that is not found in the book biography. Our next novel will be "The Call of the Wild."

Mrs. Brunell's Reading Class

Read Chapters 22, 23, 24, 25, do vocab and comp questions for all chapters - due on Monday.

Religion

All programs showing the integration of the five parts of the Rite of Confirmation with the Liturgy were due today!

You are working on your Confirmation "jacket" that shows your identity as a Christian, highlights the importance of your faith and uses both images and words, Scripture, sacraments and prayer, color and design, as well as placement on the various parts of the jacket.

Computer

The 8th graders are well on their way to making some amazing book trailers. This week many learned how to embed video clips into Movie Maker to enhance the pictures and music already present in their projects. Final projects are due April 25,2012.

Music

 

Students are currently giving presentations on famous jazz artists.

HOMEWORK: Finish all vocabulary and lesson activities for JAZZ LESSONS 11, 12, 15,and 17.  These will be collected as a packet along with a take-home test on Friday, May 25th.
