Standardized Test Scores Update- May 2007
The Terra Nova is the standardized test that the schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago use. The Terra Nova uses a theme based format with the majority of the questions having multiple choice answers. However, at the end of each section of the test, including Math and Science, there are questions that require a written answer from the students. These answers were scored on content, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
As a school we did extremely well on the tests and scored well above the national midpoint (which is at the 50th percentile) in every area for every grade that was tested. These scores are helpful to us because they enable us to help individual children and to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs. Listed below, you will see the scores for each grade that took the test.
