The Accelerated Reader (AR) program is offered to fifth-eighth grade students and provides motivation for reading enrichment. Once students read one of the 2000+ AR designated books, they take a short comprehension quiz on the computer, and receive points based on their score. As students reach their point goals each quarter, they become “AR Stars” and are invited to a special AR celebration at the end of the semester.
