Outings & Events:

Cub Scouts have different events each month. You don’t have to go to all of them. Go to the events that your son enjoys and that you are available to attend.

When can my son join?

Anytime. You can join Scouting at any time, however, the best time to join is May & June as it is the start of the Scouting Year. We do most of our fun outdoor adventures during the warm weather months, so May & June are the perfect months to join Scouting as our Scouting year goes from June to May.

My son doesn’t like to camp so why would he join scouting?

Scouting is so much more than camping. Scouting helps prepare your son to face challenges, dig deep to do his very best at whatever task he commits to, he will learn to develop leadership skills, he will have a multitude of opportunities to have hands on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Scouting prepares Scouts for Life - Real Life Situations and Real Life Challenges.

What is Boy Scouts?

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness.

For more than a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
